Regal Paving has a riven surface profile similar to new hewn quarried stone.
The term ‘riven’ or ‘to rive’, describes the traditional method of wrenching away large slabs of rock from the quarry face prior to stonemasons hand splitting or cleaving the stone down to slabs of varying size and thickness. It is this process, combined with the nature of the stone, that produces a flagstone rich in textured qualities and unique surface profiles.
StoneFlair’s Regal Paving faithfully recreates these profiles but the paving units have been updated into compatible and straightforward metric modules of uniform thickness to assist planning and ease of laying.
Number per square metre includes the recommended pointing gap i.e. 10-15mm. All Regal Paving is a nominal 40mm thick.
