Although Purestone Slate Paving has clean cut edges we do not recommend butt jointing. Paving joints should be 10-15mm wide and fully pointed with mortar. Always lay on a full bed of mortar.
Being a dense material Purestone Slate paving does not readily ”take up” water and it is therefore advisable to use a PVA admix to the bedding mortar to create the necessary “key” or adhesion.
Number per square metre includes the recommended pointing gap i.e. 10-15mm. The thickness of all Purestone Slate Paving will vary from a nominal 18-23mm and can be taken up in the bedding material.

The Circle comprises 48 pieces in total and has a diameter of approximately 2.46 metres. A squaring-off kit comprising four corners (totalling 12 units) is available to square the circle, producing a square approximately 2.46 x 2.46 metres.
